Second ‘potential security breach’ at Auckland Airport on Thursday sees passengers rescreened

Passengers have been delayed getting through Auckland Airport’s domestic terminal after what the airport called “a potential security breach”.

Heathrow has been knocked off the top spot for the first time since 2023, with Istanbul handling almost 300,000 more passengers in July as the London airport pushes ahead with plans for a third runway.

Passenger numbers at Sault Ste. Marie Airport were up 14.7 per cent in July compared to the same period last year, the airport said in a news release.
