Search suspended for man missing from yacht adrift in Atlantic

Rescuers suspended a search on Tuesday for a man believed to have been aboard a yacht found drifting off France’s Atlantic coast, maritime authorities said.

Search operations were under way Monday evening for anyone who may have been on board a yacht found adrift off a French island. The alert was raised by a passenger aboard a Brittany Ferries vessel travelling from Portsmouth in Britain to Bilbao in Spain, who spotted the yacht apparently in distress.
