Schoolgirl, 11, dies at Scots river as emergency crews race to scene

A SCHOOLGIRL has died after being found in the water near a Scots village. Emergency crews were scrambled to Gore Glen Woodland Park in Midlothian yesterday afternoon. They were called out to concerns for an 11-year-old girl in the area around 12.40pm. A major search and rescue operation was launched to find the child.

Emergency crews rushed to a reported car and motorcycle crash on Possil Road in north Glasgow, with one patient treated at the scene.
