Russian Mobile Carriers Waive Data Fees for State-Backed Max Messenger

Starting Aug. 1, voice calls, messaging, file transfers and other digital services within Max will be free of charge for subscribers of MTS, MegaFon, Beeline and T2.

Russia’s four major mobile carriers — MTS, Beeline, MegaFon, and T2 — will stop charging for data used by the Max messenger starting August 1, letting subscribers use the app without restrictions.
