Russian ‘Banderol’ Type Drone Strikes Zhytomyr Police Building, Kills 2, Injures 20

A Russian “Banderol”-type drone struck Zhytomyr’s regional police headquarters on Wednesday, Aug. 19, killing two officers and injuring at least 20 people. National Police chief Maksym Tsutskiridze called the strike deliberate terror against those who protect civilians.

A fire broke out in a five-story building that houses several hotels in Kolkata in the early hours Wednesday, killing at least nine people and injuring six others in the capital of India’s West Bengal state, police said.

Some of the victims are believed to be Bangladeshi nationals who had travelled to Kolkata for medical treatment, according to a member of West Bengal’s ruling party.
