Russia Proposes Tax Relief for Wildberries Following Ukrainian Drone Attacks

The Russian government has drafted a support package for Wildberries and sellers whose goods were damaged or destroyed in Ukrainian strikes on its warehouses. The measures include tax and insurance-payment deferrals, installment plans for businesses whose losses exceed 5% of annual revenue, and a freeze on tax audits.

Russia’s Finance Ministry has submitted a package of support measures to the government for RWB Group — the merged company formed by Wildberries & Russ — as well as for sellers whose goods were destroyed in Ukrainian drone attacks.

The tech giant says it does not sell the devices in Russia, but they are widely available on resale markets. When purchased that way, they are virtually impossible to track.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said the proposed measures include a deferral of taxes and insurance payments, as well as a freeze on tax audits.
