Russia hits port export facilities in Ukraine's Odesa region, Kyiv says

KYIV, Sept 1 - Russia attacked Ukraine's port infrastructure and a border crossing with Romania in the southern Black Sea region of Odesa overnight, Ukrainian officials said on Tuesday.

Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure and residential buildings in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts overnight on September 1, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.

At least 37 people have been killed following a Russian strike close to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, officials said Saturday, one of the deadliest attacks to hit Ukraine this year.

Zimbabwe police said Wednesday they had arrested a district official on criminal charges of culpable homicide after the sinking of a government-run ferry that claimed at least 97 lives.
