Russia's only liberal, anti-war party will not be able to take part in next month's parliamentary elections, a Moscow court rules.

Kirill Rumyantsev, a candidate for Russia's State Duma from the anti-war Yabloko party, says he and his family have received death threats and demands that he withdraw from the election. He filed a police report and said he would remain in the race despite the threats.

While the liberal Yabloko party is unlikely to win any seats in elections next month, they nonetheless relish the opportunity to push their anti-war message on a national scale.

The Yabloko party is casting itself as the only opposition group in favour of a ceasefire with Ukraine.
