RSF claims key victory in Sudan’s Blue Nile region

Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, or RSF, say they have taken full control of Geissan, in the Blue Nile region, near the Ethiopian border.

The United Nations has once again urged warring parties in Sudan to protect civilians as the fighting continues to take a heavy toll on the population.
