Decades of fighting the smell from a rotting fish sauce plant in the Newfoundland and Labrador community of St. Mary's have finally proved successful, as cleanup crews began work on Tuesday.

There were clear signs of victory today in a Newfoundland town’s decades-long fight to have vats of reeking, rotting fish sauce emptied out from a long-abandoned factory on its shoreline.
