Reddy denied US visit, Gujarat CM cleared: Overseas Congress alleges ‘double standard’

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel; Telangana CM Revanth ReddyNEW DELHI: The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC), the Congress’ foreign wing, has criticised the Centre for its “double standards” in allowing the Gujarat chief minister to visit the US while denying clearance to Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy for his US visit.

Mr. Kharge accused the Centre of selectively granting permission for foreign visits and alleged that such restrictions could hinder States’ efforts to attract investment and promote economic development.

Revant Reddy, who is in London currently, has planned to visit the US and return to Hyderabad on August 30.
