Rainbow Valley Bridge work wrapping up on Whitemud Drive

After two and a half years of near-daily gridlock on Whitemud Drive in southwest Edmonton due to Rainbow Valley Bridge construction, the light at the end of the tunnel is near.

Motorists on Whitemud Drive enjoyed more room to travel over the weekend after crews completed major bridge work.

As the project progresses, officials expect the infrastructure enhancements, including major station redevelopments in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, to significantly improve passenger amenities by the March 2028 completion target.
