PSA: Claude Code enabling auto mode as default next week, Anthropic says

Claude Code auto mode will become the default permission setting for users next week. Starting August 14, sessions for Pro, Max, and Team users will use it unless a user or administrator has pinned another setting.

Microsoft has told engineers that "tokenmaxxing is not what we are optimizing for" in a new internal memo from EVP Jay Parikh.
