Prosecutors cite ‘serious error’ in allowing Bong Revilla to post bail

MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan justices who voted to allow former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. to post bail committed a “serious error” in their resolution, according to the Office of the Ombudsman’s prosecutors. This was raised in the motion for reconsideration filed by government prosecutors on Wednesday

He's provisionally free, but this does not mean that he's been acquitted. The trial is still ongoing and the cases against him are still active.
