Portugal recorded Europe’s worst flight delays as passengers lost millions of hours

Air passengers travelling to and from Portugal experienced the worst flight delays in Europe during the first half of the year, based on new research showing that travellers collectively lost more than seven million hours due to disruption across the continent.

It comes as UK travellers this summer face EES passport control delays when going to and coming from most European Union countries

The warning comes at the height of the Canary Islands’ peak tourist season as millions of Brits fly on holiday
