Pope Leo XIV will make his first trip to Latin America as pontiff in November, returning to a region where he spent much of his ministry, with visits to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru, the Vatican announced Wednesday.

The Vatican has announced the Pope's sixth international trip. From 6-17 November he will visit three Latin American countries, including Peru, where he carried out much of his ministry.

VATICAN CITY, Aug 5 - Pope Leo will visit Uruguay, Argentina and Peru from November 6 to 17, the Vatican announced on Wednesday, in a major trip for the Catholic leader who spent decades as a missionary and bishop in Peru before becoming pope last year.
