Poor weather in fatal Kerry forestry rally did not justify cancellation, inquest hears

Vice president of Motorsport Ireland said rallies involve ‘challenge between the driver and the machine and the elements’

Eoin McCarthy (22) of Dunmanway, Co Cork died after the car in which he was driving slid into the water at the Killarney Forestry Rally in Co Kerry.

Jack Diggle, Ben Dooley, Andrew Roberts and Craig Shackleton-Brady were killed in the horror crash on East Prescot Road, Huyton, in the early hours of July 24

The four men were killed when the black Cupra Formentor they were travelling in came off East Prescot Road, where it meets Liverpool Road, Huyton, and crashed into a lamppost in the early hours of July 24
