A woman armed with at least one knife slashed two people in New York City’s Times Square before she was shot by police, according to multiple officials. NBC News’ Sam Brock reports.

The stabbings occurred at 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. The woman allegedly fled north toward the NYPD substation, where police confronted her, authorities said.

Both the woman and her victims were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to the sources.
