Poland says unidentified object crashed into its territory amid overnight Russian attacks on western Ukraine

Poland says the unidentified object, aimed at western Ukrainian territory, violated Polish airspace and territory after missing its target, crashing near the eastern city of Lublin, causing an explosion and leaving behind a 10-metre wide crater.

An unidentified object crashed and exploded in Polish territory following a night of long-range attacks by Russia across Ukraine.

According to Ukraine, the object that entered Polish airspace was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile.

Authorities have not yet determined whether the object was a drone or missile, or established its origin.
