A firefighting helicopter carrying two people crashed on Friday while responding to a wildfire raging in central Utah, authorities said.

A helicopter battling a 165-square-mile Utah wildfire crashed near Richfield with two people on board.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the helicopter crashed in Richfield, which is about 160 miles south of Salt Lake City.
