Pedestrian dead after being hit by car in Whanganui

A person has died after being hit by a car in Whanganui.Police were called to Puriri Street, near the intersection with Rogers Street, in the suburb of Gonville around 8.30pm on Saturday.The pedestrian died at the scene.The Serious Crash Unit has conducted a scene examination.Police enquiries are ongoing.
