Paramount–Warner Bros. Discovery judge sets March 2027 trial date for antitrust fight

A U.S. federal judge has set a March 2027 trial date for the antitrust challenges to Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company.

Paramount, which struck a $111 billion deal to acquire Warner Bros., had requested a November trial for an antitrust lawsuit brought by state attorneys general.

The trial is set to begin roughly five months after Paramount starts paying a ticking fee of roughly $7 million per day to Warners shareholders.
