A Palestinian American whose home in the occupied West Bank has been besieged by Israeli settlers for over a week has arrived there to help family members defend the property.

Several Palestinian homes in the West Bank village of Qusra have been under siege for a week, with families trapped inside as supplies dwindle and water and electricity are cut off. Settlers have continued their attacks openly, despite the presence of Israeli soldiers and growing international pressure on Israel.

The spring served as a lifeline for the nearby village of Fasayil in the fertile Jordan Valley, where Palestinians have relied on it for generations for food, employment and to supplement irregular Israeli supplies to their domestic taps.
