CAIRO, July 31 - Implementation of the deal to bring peace to Gaza announced by U.S. President Donald Trump will depend on Israel first meeting its commitments under an agreement reached last year, a senior Hamas official told Reuters on Friday.

There has been no immediate statement from Israel regarding the agreement.

President Trump created the international organization, aimed at resolving the long-running war in Gaza and other conflicts.

A Hamas official and a diplomat close to the Cairo talks said the progress would be tested by Israel's response and whether this allowed a broad accord to be reached.

The second phase of Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan for Gaza,  was Hamas's disarmament and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territory.
