Oyo School Abduction: UN probe call not to diminish security efforts – Makinde

Mr Makinde set off divided opinions when he called on the UN to launch a probe in the 15 May abduction.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, inaugurates an eight-member Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the May 15 abduction in Oriire LGA.

Makinde said the panel would independently investigate the circumstances surrounding the May 15, 2026 abduction, identify institutional and operational failures, and recommend measures to prevent a recurrence.
