Over 8.23 lakh posts lie vacant in Central govt. departments, shows RTI response

Of the sanctioned strength of 39,23,212 posts in the Ministries and departments, 8,23,556 posts are vacant, as per the Union Finance Ministry in response to a query raised by RTI activist Chandra Shekhar Gaur from Madhya Pradesh
