Over 65,000 suspected cholera cases recorded in 35 states – NCDC

Nigeria has recorded more than 65,000 suspected cases of cholera across 35 states and about 195 local government areas so far this year, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has said. Mr Idris said the country is still in the rainy season, when cholera transmission can increase because flooding may contaminate water sources and overwhelm sanitation systems.
