Over 30 nations condemn Iran's executions in joint statement

More than 30 nations, including Ireland, Britain and Canada, have condemned Iran's use of capital punishment, saying in a joint statement the Islamic republic was executing protesters to "silence dissent".

Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany and other European nations also joined the statement calling for Iran “to immediately end the use of the death penalty and release all those arbitrarily detained”.
