Most of the cases were in England in recent weeks, linked to eating imported eggs, experts believe.

It may be linked to eggs being imported from outside Britain, according to the UK Health Security Agency

More than 200 salmonella cases have been confirmed across the UK, with health officials investigating a possible link to imported eggs.

People affected include babies and people as old as 90, according to the UKHSA
