Okowa hails Amusan, Enekwechi after Glasgow medals

AFN President Tonobok Okowa praises Tobi Amusan and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi for their medal-winning performances at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

While the Nigerian would have hoped to retain the Commonwealth title, the bronze medal still marked another significant contribution to Team Nigeria's growing medal haul at the Games.

A pair of gold medallists in the pool spearheaded some of the locally-based talent impressing for the Scots at the Commonwealths, with a Stirling gymnast also securing medal success.
