North Korea May Deploy Missile Unit to Russia for Strikes on Ukraine, Kyiv Intelligence Says

North Korea is preparing to deploy a missile unit to western Russia that could operate up to 120 ballistic missiles for strikes on Ukraine, a Ukrainian military intelligence official told Reuters. The move would mark another major escalation in military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.

Russia has fired scores of North Korean ballistic missiles at Ukraine for years, but the deployment of North Korean missile forces would be an expansion of the two's cooperation.

North Korea has already sent troops to fight on the frontlines in Ukraine.

At least 17 people were killed, officials said, as the country runs desperately low on interceptor missiles that could fend off Russian bombardments.
