Nigerian influencer arrested over alleged international cocaine trafficking network

Nigerian authorities have arrested a social media personality they say was a senior figure in an international cocaine trafficking operation following the seizure of 184.5kg of the drug in Lagos.

[This Day] The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has broken up an international cocaine trafficking ring that used Nigeria as a transit point for shipments bound for the United Kingdom, other parts of Europe, and Asia, arresting the syndicate's Nigerian ringleader as he tried to leave the country.

A Nigerian social media influencer suspected of links to a global drug trafficking network has been arrested after the authorities seized cocaine worth nearly $28m (£21m) destined for the UK.

The 24-year-old surrendered to police for allegedly running a Penn State cocaine trafficking ring out of two student fraternities.

Afolabi Kazeem Micheal has not commented on allegations he is linked to a global drug trafficking network.
