A trustee says due to California’s ‘slayer statute,’ Reiner is prevented from receiving the money to defend himself in case

Trustees opposed Reiner's petition to access the $1.5 million trust fund because he is accused of killing his parents.

The financial steward claimed in court docs that California's "slayer statute" prevents Nick — who has been charged with murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner — from inheriting the money.
