Nick Reiner indicted on murder charges in parents' killings at their LA home

Nick Reiner pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder with the special circumstance allegations in the killings of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.

The indictment means there will be no public preliminary hearing with witness testimony ahead of a possible full-blown trial

Prosecutors also allege that Reiner personally used a knife in the commission of the crimes

If convicted, Reiner faces a sentence of life without parole. Prosecutors haven't said whether they'll seek capital punishment.

The grand jury indictment adds a new special circumstance of lying in wait with other circumstances, which means Reiner is eligible for the death penalty.
