A single-vehicle crash on the Happy Valley Creek Bridge has closed SH85 in Waitaki, with police warning motorists to expect delays and use alternative routes.

The closure of State Highway 85 has been extended to the town of Kyeburn and Waynes.

Motorists are advised to take an alternative route and expect delays.

Three Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the scene on the A76 alongside paramedics, with an air ambulance also spotted flying in the vicinity.
