New Jersey opens civil rights probe of Delaney Hall, a privately run ICE detention centre in Newark

The state attorney general said that her office had issued subpoenas and would investigate whether employees at the migrant detention center had violated civil rights.

The family of Edwin Jovanny Lopez-Cornejo claims that he died after facility staff failed to get him his medication.

Alleged lack of medical care contributed to the deaths, in addition to 22 deaths in ICE custody this year
