NDLEA operatives intercepted cocaine hidden in a mortar and backpack destined for China and Italy, arresting four suspects in nationwide operations.

Mr Babafemi said the suspect was nabbed with various quantities of cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, swinol, tramadol and codeine syrup at the time of his arrest on 26 July.

The latest China Beige Book study found factory activity decelerated in July.
