New Zealand’s governing National Party will hold a meeting tonight as speculation mounts that its lawmakers are trying to remove Prime Minister Christopher Luxon as leader less than three months before a general election.

Christopher Luxon’s role as leader of the National Party is again being questioned, following a week in which he apologised for offending small business owners and caught his MPs off-guard with a policy commitment announced on talkback radio.
