Nadia Comăneci is back in Montreal to mark 50th anniversary of 1976 Olympics

The Romanian became the first gymnast in Olympic history to score a perfect 10 during the Montreal Summer Games. Nadia Comăneci will be attending a commemorative event outside the city’s Olympic Stadium on Aug. 1.

Montrealers snapped photographs and posed with Nadia Comaneci as she returned to the city to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Summer Olympics. As a 14-year-old Romanian gymnast, she charmed Montreal and the world by scoring the first perfect 10 in Olympic history.
