NAACP joins quest to solve mystery of Nolan Wells' mysterious death

The body of Mississippi teen Nolan Wells was found days after he went missing during a Fourth of July boat trip. NAACP general counsel Kristen Clarke explains why the civil rights organization is joining the Wells family in searching for answers.

Nolan Wells’ case has taken a new turn, after a month and a half that he passed away in Horn Island as his family seeks justice.

‘We’re taking up this fight to search for truth and transparency,’ the organization said in a statement

The NAACP announced on Monday it had joined the legal team representing the family of Nolan Wells, an 18-year-old Black teen whose body was found on a Mississippi barrier island last month after a Fourth of July trip with three white friends.
