Moroccan authorities block 111 migrants from entering Ceuta

Dozens of migrants were detained in Morocco on Saturday as they attempted to cross into the Spanish territory of Ceuta, authorities said.

Security forces in Fnideq have stepped up operations to prevent migrants from crossing into Ceuta.

Moroccan security dispersed migrants who tried to cross from Fnideq to Spain’s Ceuta on Saturday. People were seen standing and running on a hill near the border as security personnel gathered in the area.

The annoucement comes as calls resurfaced on social media for mass crossings into the Spanish enclave in North Africa.
