Minnesota grower’s alfalfa sprouts linked to illnesses in 15 states, health officials say

U.S. health officials say a food-poisoning outbreak tied to alfalfa sprouts from Everything Sprouts involves multiple germs.

Officials are investigating after multiple strains of E. coli and a type of salmonella sickened dozens of people across the United States. Two people were infected with both salmonella and E. coli.

It has been a summer of foodborne illnesses for Americans as now more than 40 people have been sickened by a Salmonella and E. coli outbreak linked to sprouts sold in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
