Ministers accused of ‘cover-up’ on Monklands hospital replacement

The Scottish Government has been accused of a “cover-up” amid reports ministers knew plans for a new Monklands hospital were too expensive before the election.

Neil Gray and two fellow ministers were briefed in March that NHS assessors could not recommend the £2.1bn Monklands project, weeks before he campaigned on it during the Holyrood election.
