Michael Wright dead at 70: Acclaimed actor starred in The Five Heartbeats, Sugar Hill, Streamers and Oz

The actor passed away Wednesday in Los Angeles from heart failure combined with complications from a rare neurological disorder called Marchiafava-Bignami.

The New York native also was memorable as a Resistance fighter on ‘V’ and as the doomed inmate Omar White on ‘Oz.’
