Miami running back Jordan Lyle arrested on felony aggravated fleeing charge in Broward County

Jordan Lyle faces a felony charge of aggravated fleeing or eluding police in Broward County, just days after Mario Cristobal praised his camp progress.

Miami rising junior running back Jordan Lyle was arrested in Florida on Thursday on charges of fleeing and eluding at a high speed and reckless driving, according to Broward County court records. Prosecutors told Local 10 News he was released Thursday on $55,000 bail. Fleeing and eluding is labeled as a felony complain

Lyle faces felony complaints of aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement and a misdemeanor complaint of reckless driving. He was released on $55,000 bond.

Lyle had been competing with Mark Fletcher Jr., CharMar Brown and Girard Pringle Jr. for a larger role in the Hurricanes' backfield going into 2026

Lyle started two games last year for the Hurricanes and was expected to be the No. 2 running back this season.
