Mexico’s industrial activity picks up in June, but still has more ground to recover

After a gloomy May, Mexico's industrial output is once again heading in the right direction, driven by construction's third straight month of positive year-on-year growth, a streak it hadn't enjoyed since early 2024.

Mexico's industrial production rose 1.7% year on year in June, but was flat across the first half of 2026, a sign of an economy stuck in low gear despite strong investment.
