The UK is set to be hit by heavy rain in less than a week, with 44 counties facing severe downpours and potential flooding risk, according to the latest WXCharts weather maps and Met Office forecast

The weather warning, now in force until 9pm on Saturday, stretches from south-west England and parts of Wales across the Midlands to the east of England.
