Malaysian police arrested 335 people in raids on two alleged international online scam syndicates operating out of the Forest City development in the southern state of Johor, adding to scrutiny of the project.

Malaysian ⁠police have raided 32 premises ⁠hosting online scam activities in Forest City in the state of Johor, arresting 335 people and seizing assets worth about 1 million ringgit (US$245,000), according to the state police chief. The suspects were mostly foreigners and allegedly belonged to two syndicates targeting victims abroad, says Johor’s police chief.
