Mayo musician who built a 100-student Irish music school in New York is coming to Belfast Fleadh

All-Ireland champion Dawn Doherty has spent 14 years sharing Irish music and sean-nós singing with students in New York. Now the Castlebar native is bringing many of them to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast, where she will also return to competition herself

Stormont’s First and deputy First Ministers also addressed the hundreds at Belfast City Hall to open the world’s largest celebration of Irish music.
