Man fleeing police at Notting Hill Carnival dies in canal as arrests pass 500

Met Police confirmed on Monday night that the body of a man, thought to be in his 20s, was pulled from the water near Meanwhile Gardens.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead a short time later, police have said.
